Happy Halloween!!!

I just have to warn you that this it the scariest post out of all of my Halloween ones.  So just remember before you go any further that you were warned!

 I warned you!!!!

Yep, that is how my desk and corner of the room looks at the moment.  I have been sick with a fever and body aches all day, so I really just don't have the strength.   I am hoping tomorrow is a better day and I will be able to find the top of my desk once again.  Until then I hope you all have a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

You're the pick of the Patch!

Halloween Candy HERE!

Hi guys, I hope your week is off to a great start.  Mine has been super busy so far and I don't see that it will be getting slower anytime soon.  lol... I wonder, how come it takes so long to get from Monday to Friday, but it just takes a moment to get from Friday to Monday again. lol.... Just wondering! So, there are my words to ponder for the year.  hee hee...
I am super sorry to have been absent for the last couple of days.  I have just really truly been so busy both with work and with my Teenagers getting ready for our Halloween Graveyard.  One must always put some work into such things you know.  :O)  I spent at least an hour or two after work today hunting down much needed face paint, hair color and of course the perfect fingernail polish for Madison.  And here I thought she has all she needed to hand out candy to the neighborhood kids.  Don't even getting me going on all the little things Jerry and Madison wanted me to pick up so the yard looks like they think it should.  :O)
If you want to see Jerry and the M&Ms' completed graveyard on Halloween could you let me know?  I am trying to keep this to a crafting/card making blog, but if you would be interested in it I would be more than happy to share with you all.  (Don't want to drive you all too crazy with my family life.)
So let's get to today's card.  My wonderful friend Chrissy made this gorgeous card last week and I just had to have a go at it.  I have Spellbinder dies that are of a pumpkin, but Chrissy's  old school pumpkin was just so pretty  I couldn't pass up the thought of not trying my hand at something similar to it.  Truly you need to check out Chrissy's card. It is just beautiful.
I decided that I wanted to use an embossing folder on my pumpkin to add a little more details to it.  Then I noticed that my leaves and tendrils needed a little something, so I used some ink to help out with the embossing along with just twirling the fine bits to make them look a little more realistic.
I have to admit that I really love how my pumpkin turned out.  I think that it came out pretty much like I wanted it to.   I then spent quite a bit of time trying to find the perfect papers to go with it.  Finally I got to looking at the doodlebug designs paper pads form this year and last year and that is when I decided that this little pumpkin needed a friend or two to have along with it.  Yes, I cut out the front cover of my paper pad and I think it just really helped this card come to life.
I know I have mentioned it a million times, but due to the fact that I have no stores around me I don't tend to buy any of the paper accents that go along with the papers.  I think I just can't imagine how they would look and how I would use them on a card.  :O(  Oh well, such is life.  :O)   That is why I used the front of my pad as I thought it really added a great accent for my huge pumpkin.  hehe..
I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow.  I am just counting the hours until I can come home and then I only have  a half day to get through Thursday until we have a great family night planned and I am off for three days!  Yay!! Yay, Yay on all accounts.  Ok guys, have a great day and I will talk at you later.
Hugs,  Lisa G

Halloween/Autumn Wreath...

Good morning all.
I almost forgot that I have another project that I wanted to share with you.  I headed over to one of my co-workers houses last weekend to work on some holiday wreaths that I had seen on YouTube a couple of weeks ago.  I of course took my trusty sidekick (Madison) with me.  All three of us had a great time crafting and eating some Caramel corn that Madison picked out just for the occasion. I didn't realize just how much it  fit until just now when I was typing up my supply list and discovered that one of my papers I was using is called Caramel Corn, lmbo... Sorry that just struck me as funny.   :O)
I just love how this turned out and it truly didn't take as long as you might think.  I wanted to make mine to give to a friend that recently just bought a new home. It was all I could do to not take it over to her house that night, so both Madison and I took it over to her the next morning first thing.  I think it  took her longer to unwrap it than it did for her to hang it on her front door.  Don't you just love it when someone really loves what you make for them?
Madison also made a smaller wreath that was more of a traditional Halloween color with purples, greens and oranges.  It turned out just adorable as well, but because I am such a 'great'  Mom this morning I can't seem to find the pictures that I took of hers.  :O(  If I find them, I will add them later. Sorry guys and sorry Miss Maddie.
My only problem is that the two pictures I remembered to take of my wreath  really don't even show how pretty this is.  I will tell you however that I have already started to think about what papers and how many foam wreaths I need to buy to make my family all a wreath for their Christmas doors.  lol...
Hope you like it.  You can see the YouTube video on how to make this right HERE.  I think that you will find that it is super easy to make and I am telling you it is so worth the time.
Ok,  before I go and get crafty I will leave you with the Halloween Candy link right HERE,  Just in case you know someone that has been hiding in a closet or something all month. Just kidding. Make sure to tell your friends.  You get an extra chance with everyone that you suggest over to my blog.    Remember, there is only four more days before both Madison and I pick the winner.
Have a GREAT day everyone.  The sun isn't shinning today, but that's ok... Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

Miss Millie's Toadstool...

Hello again.
I hope you are all having a smashing start to your weekend.  Can you believe that Halloween is just a few haunting days away?  You know what that means?  Yep, we are only five days away from finding out who is going to win my blog candy!!! If you haven't commented on that post yet you need to, so click HERE and getter done.  Baahaa ha!!!
Ok, on to today's card.  I was shopping with Jerry and my Dad last night when I found this awesome spool of black tulle that I just couldn't pass up.  So, I came home and decided that I had to make a more classier kind of Halloween card.  Yes, you read correctly... I said classy... lol.. So I pulled out Miss Millie's Toadstool advertisement and made a card out of it.  I think it is a fun, weird kind of card and that was what I wanted, so I am very happy with it.  :O)  I even added a touch of Gelly Roll pen on the stars to make them pop.  Thanks so much Amanda for sending it to me.  I love it!  If you have the time, you should check out Amanda's blog. She is so talented and I just love her cards.  You can see them HERE.
This post was written all in an English accent as I am now in a funny mood and that is what is in my brain at the moment.... he heheee.. Sorry, that is just how we roll here at the Gobea house.  :O)
Have a good day all and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

I wish you could see the glitter that I used to outline sides of the words and on the little stars.  In person it looks great.

Here is a close up, so you can read the sentiment.  lol...

{got candy?}

Halloween Candy here!!!

Hi guys!

Yay, tomorrow it is Finally Friday and I know that all four of us are very happy to be looking at the weekend. :O)  It was a fast week, but we just all need to have a day or two to rest.
I am going to get right to my card for today as I have a lot to say about it.  I am still working on the last of my Halloween cards and this card is just a little different.
I don't know if all of you know it, but my all time favorite stamps are The Greeting Farm stamps and one of my FAVORITE thing to do with them is to swap out their heads or bodies and just have with them.  I only bring this up as over on The Greeting Farm blog you will notice that they are having a new contest that will run from now until Oct. 31st.  It is called 'Alter Ego' - a body snatching contest.  You can check it out right HERE!
I knew immediately that I wanted to use a Creeper Crew or two to make a cute image for this card.  Well it just so happens that CC Monday needs to take her little brother 'Trick or Treating' and as she is a teenager she is kind of over the whole thing.  So she pulled together CC James' skull jacket and some jeans just for the big night.  She just got a brand new pair of sneakers that have a super awesome orange check pattern on them so of course she pulled that together with her neon orange shirt as well.  :O)  Can you tell that I LOVE doing this kind of stamping?   Oh, and yes the Creeper Crew stamps from The Greeting Farm are my NUMBER ONE ALL TIME FAVORITE STAMPS !!! lol...
Anyways, I think that Monday turned out super cute as she already had her hair dyed for the school play of ' Grease'  where she is playing Pinkie Tuskadaro and she loved it so much she decided to keep the color a little longer.
I also wanted to add a little spider and spider web to my card as I think this paper looks like she is in a very old library with cobwebs and all.  I didn't have any velum to use for my Web so as this is a card and not a scrapbook page I just used a little of my wax paper and as it is thin and a little see through I thought it worked out pretty well in a pinch.
Ok guys I have talked long enough.  I hope you all have a great Friday.  Be sure to head over to the Greeting Farm blog and play along.  I am sure that it will be worth it when you see what Marie and Jess have in store for the contest.
One last thing before I head off to bed.  I just wanted to wish my YouTube friend Steph a very Happy Birthday.  You can check Steph's channel out HERE.  She always has such fun videos full of hauls and projects that she has been working on. So go check her out and Wish her a Happy Birthday!   You'll love it.
Thanks for stopping by.  I'll talk at you all later.
Hugs, Lisa G

COSTUME party...

Hi guys,
Wow can you believe that it is already Thursday?  Yay for me!  I only work until 1pm today and I am telling you I am a happy girl.  lol... I have been so busy and I am so sorry that I haven't been around this week to visit all of you.  I really appreciate you all and your comments and I am so happy to have some new  followers as well.  I can't wait to get to know you all.  :O)
I was however able to get a very quick, but really cute card made last night once I got home from work. I was trying to find a new image to color for yet another Halloween card when I came across The Little Blue Button Stamps blog.  The owner has a few free images, so I picked up her Vampire Sunny to color.  He is so cute and while I was coloring him I just felt like he need to have a homemade costume for the neighborhood Costume party.  I colored him up like his poor Mom was only given a few hours notice to pull together a full out Vampire Costume.  I know we have all been there, right?  lol... Anyway,  I think he turned out really cute and so I wanted to give him a very simple card to kind of go along with the 'whole thrown together' idea. lol   I don't know what came over me. It was super fun though.  Madison also wanted me to give him a very pale look to him as he is suppose to be a vampire. Unfortunately he is so pale you really can't see his face very well in the pictures.  Sorry. :O(   You can check out Vampire Sunny and all the rest of the Blue Button Stamps here.
Ok guys, I need to get a move on.  I hope you all have a great day and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Was hoping a close up would show up better, but it didn't.  boohoo...

Happy Halloween

Halloween Candy right HERE!

Good morning all.
Yep, I am running behind this morning, but wanted to share a very simple but fun card with you. This is one that I used a pad from last year on.  I happen to have a couple of the sentiment tags stored inside the pad, so I pulled one out, added a little bit of glitter (that you can't see from the picture) and added some of the great papers.  I edged the papers with some chalk ink and put it all together.  I really love how it turned out even though it didn't take me more than ten minutes to put the whole card together.  :O)
I hope you are all having a great week so far.  We have been really really busy at work and the M&Ms are super busy studying, so that means I am pulling double duty as my oldest does not like to be up by himself while he is studying late.  I really don't mind other than the fact that I should be taking  double my vitamins. lol... Anyway....
Have a wonderful day and I will talk at you all later.
Hugs, Lisa G

I used one of the papers from the paper pad as my sentiment for the inside. I think this witch looks just awesome.  :O)

Fuzzy Pumpkin Patch...

Hi guys.
Be sure to check out my Halloween Candy here !

So, here we are and it is already Sunday night once again.  Sorry that I really didn't post too much last week.  I was just so busy both at work and at home.  I do however have a few non-card related Halloween projects that I want to share with you before the Spooky Day gets here.  Jerry and the M&Ms are busy working on the front graveyard, I have managed to make a few cards as well.
Most of you know that I work at a privately owned pharmacy and that makes it just that more fun for me around the holidays.  My two bosses are super awesome when it comes to letting me be creative for certain things that we sell.  One of those things are the Aloe infused cozy socks that we seem to sell quite a bit of.  The best part is that this year they let me make those socks into a pumpkin and put up a little pumpkin patch on our front counter.  I just cut a few tags,  added in some heat embossed sentiments and I tell you these pumpkins are selling even better than the local patch.
I didn't take this picture, but I thought it would be a good start for the week.  I hope you all like them.  As a side note these socks are like heaven on earth.  I wear a pair every night after work and they just feel so good without making your feet hot.  I just had to share that...
Ok everyone,  I will talk at you tomorrow with even more things I have been working on.
Hugs, Lisa G

Welcome to all my new subscribers.  I am so excited to have everyone here. It truly means the world to me.

In person it looks super cute and I am making a 4sale sign so that everyone knows it.  :O)
Happy Halloween!

Hey...

Hi guys,
This is truly going to be a quick post.  Actually more like a quick picture!  lol... Anyway, this is a little card that I just had to put 'Pumpkin Miles'  from Kraftin Kimmeys on.  I think he is so cute and he just screams Halloween in a sweet way.
So, I am heading out the door as I type. (not really, just feels like it) Got to go. I hope you all are having a great week.  Mine,  as you might have noticed,  has been a super busy one and it's not even Thursday.  Anyway, have a good one and I will talk at you later.
Don't forget to get your name in on the Halloween Candy.  If you can't find it I will put the link in tonight when I get home.
Hugs, Lisa G

TRICK or TREAT...

Halloween Candy!   You don't want to miss out...Be Sure To Click HERE!!!

Hi guys.  Wow can you believe it's another week down and another week closer to the start of all the holiday madness?   If that doesn't scare you I don't know what will.   Baaa Ha Ha!!
Ok guys as it is once again a work night and I am running late with my crafting for the day I am going to jump right into my card.  This card just started out as a simple one where I only intended to color up this cute image stamp of a girl, put her on a card and be done.  Ok, maybe a little more than that, but truly nothing like I ended up making and having a great time doing it. :O)    So as you can see the more I got to working on this  I decided that this trick or treater needed to walk on a safe sidewalk if she was going to be out trick or treating.  Then I decided it is October and the leaves are falling.  Hence the leaves.  Ok, but leaves have to have a tree to fall off of so.....  :O)  Then there was this adorable crow that wanted to sit on said tree.  lol... You can see how this all came to be. :O)
Once I had the whole scene for the outside of my card I wanted the inside to have a little meaning to it as well as kind of flow with the outside.  That got me to thinking of when I was a lot younger.
There was  a purple house way back from the road that none of us ever wanted to walk by on the way to school.  We would always run that block as it just freaked us all out.  You can image that we would never even consider going trick or treating there.  So I thought that it would be fun to give this gal a house that there is no way she is going to hit up for any of her Halloween goodies.  I have to confess, I truly like how this one turned out.  Hope you like the inside too!
I am super tired and I didn't get my project that I am working for work done, so I am heading to bed and hoping to get up early to start and finish it.  I will be taking some pictures of it to share with you all later this week.  Until then I hope you all have a great weekend and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Love that this picture kind of shows the Wink of Stella that I used
on her dress and wings. :O)

Supplies: I will add them tomorrow as I just can't do it right now.  So sorry!

EEEK!!!

Halloween Candy-click here!!!

Hi guys.

Wow, I am so upset at myself at this very moment.  lol... I had just finished up tonight's post when I hit some key ( have no idea what key) and it totally erased everything!!!   Ggggrrr...
So, as I was already tired and I so do not feel like retyping everything I am just going to show you my card for today.  This card was made using Halloween Bride from TGF and some of my all time favorite pattern paper that I have no idea what company it is from let alone where or when I bought it.  lol....
Halloween Bride is a digi stamp that I purchased last year and made a card out of.  Her card was ruined and she was looking pretty bad, so I pulled her off that card and spruced her up a bit and gave her a whole new card.
As you can see I didn't even get a picture of the inside of this card as when I hit that button it deleted all of my pictures except for this one.  ???!!*****???!! I know I could have retaken them, but I just don't have then energy for it.  Sorry.
I hope you all have a great Saturday.  I have to work and then I am going to come home and get a few more cards done before I take a well needed day off.  :O)
Talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

There she is with her little wrinkle, but she is just going to sit on my desk.

Check out my Spook-tac-u-lar Halloween Candy... click here!

Hello everyone.
Thanks for stopping by.  I am very happy to read that you all enjoyed my little Zombie girl from yesterday.  I think she is my fave so far.  :O)
I have to warn you however that my card for today almost didn't make it on my blog as I truly don't like how it turned out.  Have you ever had a card idea in your head only to come home, sit down at you desk and have it look NOTHING like you were envisioning?  Well,  this is that CARD!  lol...
As you can see it's "ok", but that is all it is.  I guess that I am just really tired and we had to go grocery shopping after work, so there goes that half of day off.  lol... Oh well, at least I was able to pick the M&Ms up from school.  I love to do that whenever I get a chance and it truly drives Jerry crazy as he feels that they can ride the bus and let me rest.  I keep trying to tell him that even though they get off from school at the same time it turns out to make Thursdays special for the three of us and I wouldn't give that up for anything.
So back to my blahhh card.  I really wanted it to turn out super exciting and cute, and as you can see it didn't.  I am going to leave it as it is one of my series and it deserves it place even if no one will ever get it.  lol...  :O)
Ok guys, I am going to bug out for the day as I have work in the morning and I am going to have 4 teenagers in my house by 6:35am to have their hair sprayed Maroon & Gold (3 of the 4 are 16 year old boys, lol)  as this is homecoming week and tomorrow is show your school spirit with school colors.  It should be fun, but I hope I get some rest first.  Everyday this week I have sat at my laptop posting my blog almost falling asleep at the keys only to go to bed and be wide awake until after 1am.  Mind you I get up at 4:45am every day and it would be so nice to get a couple more hours in.  :O)   I guess what is making it irritating for me is the fact that I am usually one of those people that puts their head on the pillow and doesn't even move until the morning.   Go figure!
Talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G

Ghouls ROCK!

Halloween Candy up for some Trick or Treater... Click HERE!

Hello everyone!
I hope that you are all having a Ghoul old time with my Halloween cards.  :O)  Let me warn you ahead of time that this might be a longer than usual post as I really want to share this with you all.
I don't know what got into me when I got home tonight, but I was trying to look for a specific digi image that I have on my PC when I came across this ADORABLE image that I am almost positive I got off of a sight called 'Deviant Art' last year.  I am so so sorry to the artist that drew this image, I  wasn't able to make out the signature on it, so I am going to try my best tomorrow when I get home to research it for you all.  I want to make sure that credit is given where credit is due.  At any rate, I just could not resist printing her out and coloring her.  The only thing is, as you will soon see I must have been  in a crazy mood or something as I decided that instead of just a cute teenager listening to her music that she needed to be an undead. Yes, a ZOMBIE!  lol.,.. I just don't know what happened.  I swear I don't watch anything zombie or even half way scary.  I hate, and I do mean hate,  the move 'The Wizard of Oz' for goodness sakes, but I will confess that I just let loose and went for this one.  I had the best time just coloring her and the more I got into it the more I really wanted her to look undead.
As I was determined to make this girl into a Zombie I remembered that my blogging friend Amy  has made a couple of videos on Zombie/Vampire skin combos using your Copic markers, so I headed over to here and was able to come up with this little gals skin.  :O)    While I was busy giving her a very bad skin condition my DD suggested that she needed to have red eyes as according to her the blood pools and turns them a reddish brown color.  (!!!?????!!!) I don't know...  :O)  Well, as fate would have it,  Amy also has a great video on how to get the most out of your red Copics.  Click here to check it out. I just know that you will enjoy that video as well.
Lastly, you might have suspected that once upon a time she might have been a blond, but since she has been dead  her hair has kind of mildewed, hence the greenish tint to it.  :O)  I truly am sorry for the long post, but WOW what fun I had with this. I guess I have a somewhat dark side to me after all.  Baa ha ha ...
So, before I let you go (if your still here) I do know  'NOW'   that my sentiment says ROCKS! and I have already fixed it, I just didn't feel like pulling everything back out to retake the picture. :O(  If you were to see my desk at the moment you would totally understand.
Well guys, I have taken up enough of your time for one night so I will wish you all a great day tomorrow.  Talk at you later.  :O)
Hugs, Lisa G

Dropping By...

Don't forget to get in on some Halloween Candy...It's just a click away!!!
Hi guys,  can you believe this week is almost half over?  I don't know about the rest of you, but I just know that Christmas is going to be here long before I am ready for it.  Bahaha.... Yes,  that is my Halloween Scare for you today... Hehee... Scary but oh so true!!!
Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas and I love being with my family, but I do have two teenagers that LOVE to get all those electronics for Christmas and that means that Mom is broke for quite awhile.  lol...
Ok, ok, let's get to my card for the day as I am still very much in the mood to make a few more Halloween cards before we get to all the Christmas cards.  I have some that I made up this weekend and a few more that are just dying to come out, so be sure to stay tuned.  :O)  heehe he
I also want to take a moment to welcome all of  my new followers and to say "thank you" to my followers that have been putting up with me for this long.  I really love having you all here and I can't tell you just how much it means that you leave such nice comments.  Truly after coming home to my kids and hearing about their days (Best part of my Day!!!)  I love to sit down and see just what everyone has been up to.
Sorry for going on and on, but after yesterday being home all of us sick it is wonderful to feel good again and actually feel like putting up this card.  So, with that said, my card today is made out of some adorable stamps that I found on YouTube.  They are called  'My Style Stamps' and they are designed by Nicole Kerr.  She has some awesome stamps out, but this is the only set I have picked up YET!  This set is called Creepy Creatures and I tell you I had such a fun time coloring in this little bat and giving him his own moon to hang in front of.  :O)  You can check out Nicole's YouTube channel here and you can pick up her awesome stamps here. I just know you are going to love them.
Well, I had better get a move on.  Work again in the morning.  Hope you all have a great day and I will talk at you later.
Hugs,  Lisa G

Just a quick little note:  See that little piece of corrugated  board?  That was what my 'Fossil' watch was wrapped around
when I picked it up this summer (ON SALE)... I only mention this as I always save things like this and other
things from work. They always ask me if I want this or that before it goes in the recycle bin at work.  lol...

Witching you a happy Halloween!

HALLOWEEN CANDY... CLICK HERE!

Hi Guys.
This is going to be a really quick post today.   We were all home sick yesterday with a touch of the flu or something I didn't even feel like putting up my card last night, so I am rushing to put in on before we head off to work and school.
I picked this somewhat creepy looking Witch for today's card to work with.  She is  part of that set of  Dazzle stickers that I used in the haunted house card.  I love how much you can do with these and yet, I still have ton of them left.   I just loved the look of the full moon behind her, so I thought I would use some papers that would make it look like she was flying over the town.
Ok guys,  I hope you all had a great start to your week.  Have a great day and I will talk at you later.
Hugs, Lisa G
